Fate can be a funny thing sometimes; a guiding force between two strangers, drawing them together like an inescapable gravity. But is this fate? Or merely happenstance? Only time will truly tell.

A Destiny Interrupted...

-Falling from the Heavens-

Across the world over tales are told of angels; Guardians who protect and guide their assigned, no- fated charges. Some come in the form of an indescribable and blinding light, while others take the form of an animal. Others still are described as what can only be thought of as myth; A great beast with a lion's head, the face of a woman, great wings that shimmer and gleam with all the colors of the rainbow.

As fantastical as they might be, the form given when a guardian arrives is the shape that their charge can most easily accept.

Yet as different as each cultures' concept of what divine intervention looks like may be, the beginning is always the same. A brilliant light streams across the sky-a shooting star breaches the atmosphere and somewhere in the stratosphere a form is given and a direction decided.

Fate works in mysterious ways; we've all heard this before. But what happens when destiny is rocked off course?

Angels descend and angels fall. What of those who are plucked up by the darkness mid-flight and lead astray? A once bright future tied to the soul they were created to protect derailed to something unknown... This is the story of one such creature:

Once known as Lailah, this particular guardian was intercepted during the descent-plucked up by darkness to have her destiny rewritten...

-Invaluable and worthless-

Memories of self, memories of purpose were stolen and the light was renamed Raca-the worthless one. Taken by demons in her most delicate and vulnerable of states she was reprogrammed to be used. Used for food, used for pleasure...

Having been caught in the midst of her transformation she was already a vision of what her charge might need. A small framed woman with kind features she was graced with full lips that formed a natural pout and long blonde locks that brushed high cheekbones; full lashes framed emerald optics that seemed as endless and deep as the ocean.

The innocence was appreciated by her captors.

Most popularly sought after for the blood that was both endless and habit forming she was the source of many a conflict. Vampires, demons... any entity that required such a supply... she was so precious and invaluable that after several fatalities were tallied for ownership over her it was decided to cycle her to the highest bidder. After a maximum purchase time of five years she would be returned to the sales table and whomever had the means to claim her would be allotted the next cycle.

Personality: While Lailah was a paragon of patience, balancing kindness with a firm push when needed-- Raca is less sure of herself.

She's still kind and patient as is her base nature, however when situations get stressful anxiety takes a hold on her. Most commonly she internalizes; taking all the blame and absolving those around her of guilt.

Had she done something differently, had she known how to properly help, the situation surely wouldn't have gone sour.

Blame is something that has been so commonly placed upon her since the beginning (when she was taken and her memories of before erased), that it only seems natural.

However, she is not as somber as one might imagine. Nor does she pity herself. She continually radiates warmth and is extremely empathetic to those around her. Even going so far as to counsel and provide what little she can for her fellow captives.

Even having lost all memory of her life as a divine being she still feels a strong need to right wrongs, however her lack of direction often leads to somewhat amoral decisions.
